about.

MvkeyyJ (pronounced MikeyyJ) is a Nashville-based artist, songwriter, and producer raised in Dallas, Texas. Blending melodic hip-hop, R&B, and pop, he pairs infectious melodies with honest storytelling rooted in identity, faith, relationships, and the pursuit of something bigger.

His music has garnered attention from established artists and industry names, including GRAMMY winners !llmind, Sleep Deez, Lecrae, Derek Minor, and Zaytoven. Since signing a publishing deal with EMPIRE in 2025, he has continued expanding his international reach, with work spanning North America, Europe, East Asia, and Southeast Asia, including projects with teams at JYP Entertainment, HYBE, UNCORE, Sony, and Warner.

Onstage, MvkeyyJ is a vetted performer. He has graced the stages of SXSW, A3C Festival, and the Recording Academy’s Nashville Chapter 25th Anniversary Block Party, opened for artists such as Michael Minelli and Ryan Ellis, headlined his own sold-out show, and brought his music to audiences abroad. Each performance carries the energy, connection, and vulnerability that define his records.

His latest EP, jamaal., offers a closer look at the person behind the artist: his experiences, ambitions, and the questions he’s still working through. Across every song and stage, his goal remains personal: to make music people can see themselves in.
